BECOME PART OF THE SOLUTION

thumbs-up-smiley When we learn the lessons we are supposed to learn (that is to respond  appropriately) and become more peaceful in the soul, when we teach what we learn to those in our own circles of influence (to experience peace themselves), we will make a marked difference in the world around us. Moreover, when we trust our spirits (the warm feelings within) to lead us on the correct pathways of life, when we rely on the power source in the universe to direct us, we become part of the solution in building a happier family unit and a healthier society. Now re-read the bolded words.

Learning to think first and respond appropriately to problems will teach this skill to others. They learn it by our examples as they interact with us and see how we handle difficult situations. Remember that kindness begets kindness, love begets love, peace begets peace, chaos begets chaos, anger begets anger, hate begets hate, and paranoia begets paranoia. The same thing is true when we are good examples, people reflect back what they see in us. This is
why we need to understand the reasoning behind responding appropriately to situations, and why this is essential for our future peace.

Not everyone understands the concept of teaching by example, however, and so some might be tempted to teach strictly by their intellect and knowledge. They believe they are wise because they have experienced difficulties in the past and think this qualifies them to teach others what they know. Yet we know that actions speak louder than words. Often, we see these people puffed up in their pride and ego, so what they teach comes from self/ego, instead of tapping into the resources of the spirit. Hence, teaching by example is best and when it’s done through the spirit. In this way, we become an army that can reach far more people than would be otherwise by the few who teach one person at a time. In other words, if we can show just one, then we can teach the whole village.

If you decide to teach by words and intellect, then it must be done with insight, humility, honesty, integrit conviction, and honed understanding. This is best done by tapping into the resources of the spirit to avoid teaching out of self-righteousness, arrogance, or judgment. Of course, this is also very difficult to do because pride and arrogance usually get in the way. This is why few are called by God to teach these things, and why He reserves that role for those who are humble and teachable themselves. That is also why it is best to teach by the guidelines I have just described?  We can all teach by example, and the best part is that it is duplicatable by those we meet.

When handicapped with self/ego, some people who feel qualified to teach believe it is necessary to “fix” people (or change them) in order to educate them. Sadly, we often take this bait and try to fix ourselves according to the instructions of those who are supposed to know—but sometimes experts are far from being true examples of what they teach. Then we end up losing faith in the supposed experts, and forget their teachings when they are caught in hypocrisy, arrogance, and judgment. This is why we must fix ourselves before we ever think of fixing anyone else.

We fix ourselves when we are teachable and allow our spirits to be taught the ways of God and the universe. If we teach, let it be by the model of compassion and an attitude of service. These are the qualities that others can easily duplicate by example!

Do you see the power we all have to change not only our own lives and that of our children’s, but to also change our world in the future? This is an awesome responsibility. Being part of the solution and not part of the problem is truly an opportunity to make a brighter future for all of humanity. This great responsibility is also a blessing for us today, as well as for our posterity tomorrow.

This scenario does not have to be only in fantasy. If we do our part by staying in integrity and showing others how to do likewise through our example, we can cause effectual changes to occur in society. With love and conviction, and by adhering to correct principles, we automatically become beacons for others to follow. In this way, we show them how to become more of what they want to be as we become more of what we want to be. We show them how to have more of what makes them happy when we are happy. We show them how to have more out of their lives than  they expected! There’s not much that’s more satisfying than this!  IS THERE?
